Everyone has experienced fireworks. It is truly a magical sight. I set out to capture them, not as we know them normally, but in a way that many of you may not have seen them before. For this, I used Bokeh, which originates from the Japanese word “boke”, which means “blur” or “haze”.

I chose a relaxing soundtrack, from the movie Solaris, by musical composer Cliff Martinez.

I produced the following unplanned short film whilst attending the Relentless Boardmasters 2010 Festival in Watergate Bay, Newquay. The atmosphere was amazing, the people were incredible and the setting was beautiful. Enjoy!

Simple idea involving the stars of the show i.e. the vintage cars at the English Riviera classic car show on Paignton Green.

Every tuesday night in Paignton, a bunch of us go to play football at Clennon Valley. This week I took a break from the game and thought I would create the following short video. Enjoy!

The Go Expo 2010 (the great outdoors exhibition) is a brand new interactive event that took place on 30/31st May 2010 at the Riviera International Centre, Torquay, UK.

Featuring famous trials biker Andrei Burton as well as various displays, demonstrations and workshops, including street-surfing, brushboarding surf simulator, free-riding, bushcraft and more.

I produced the following highlights video for the event:

“Jump if you love life!” is a fun short film I created with my niece and nephews. We all had a great time shooting it and I had a great time editing it!

Last week, I was travelling through France and Italy and came across tunnel after tunnel and came up with this abstract idea, involving a time-lapse, slow shutter and some mix of video.

Most of the photos and video were taken along the Mont Blanc tunnel in the Alps as well as the beautiful stretch of motorway called the Autostrada dei Fiori which roughly translates as motorway of flowers.

Shooting in Bygones was a difficult task to say the least. The low light conditions meant my usual choice of camera was not going to cut it. I went through three different edits with several soundtracks before I was finally happy with the overall feel and pace.

I used a Canon 7D SLR Photo Camera, but don’t let that fool you, It has a powerful high definition movie mode that when combined with a low f-stop lens and the aperture fully open you get a wonderful depth of field and ability to shoot in extreme low light conditions. It was perfect for the task!

I want to thank the Bygones staff for letting me in with my tripod and for a wonderful setting to film in. The attention to detail in the sets are second to none.
